The prince's animal park
The park was founded by Count Wilhelm Moritz zu Solms-Braunfels in 1704. The old forester's house at the entrance to the park that now houses a restaurant dates back to that time. In what was the prince's 55 hectare hunting area you can now stalk wild boar, mouflon, fallow and other deer with your camera. Picturesque looping trails lead you through the area that includes an ancient tree population. The animal park is open daily from 10 to 18 hours. Entrance is free.
